Privacy Policy

Your privacy is fundamental to how Intoolhub is built. Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser — your data is never uploaded, stored, or shared. This policy explains what little information we do handle and exactly how we treat it.

Effective: March 9, 2025Last updated: March 9, 2025

TL;DR — The short version:

Intoolhub does not collect, store, or transmit the data you enter into any tool. All processing happens locally in your browser. We collect only minimal, anonymised analytics to improve the site (no personal data, no cookies for tracking).

We Do Not Track You

No personally identifiable information is collected when you use our tools. We have no interest in who you are.

No Server Processing

Every tool runs 100% in your browser. The text, data, or files you enter never leave your device.

No Account Required

You never need to register, log in, or provide an email address to use any tool on Intoolhub.

No Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with advertisers or any other third parties.

Information We Collect

Intoolhub is designed to collect as little information as possible. Below is a complete list of data that may be processed when you visit or use our site.

Information you enter into tools

Any text, code, or data you paste into a tool is processed exclusively within your own browser using JavaScript. This data is never transmitted to our servers, never stored in a database, and is discarded the moment you close or navigate away from a tool.

Automatically collected technical data

Like all websites, our hosting infrastructure may log basic request metadata as part of normal web server operations. This may include:

  • IP address (used for routing; not stored or linked to your activity)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL
  • Date and time of the request
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page

This data is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not used to identify, profile, or track individual users.

Information you voluntarily provide

If you contact us via email to report an issue or suggest a tool, we receive the email address and message content you choose to send. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry and is not added to any marketing list.

How Your Data Is Processed

All tool processing is 100% client-side. Your input is handled by JavaScript running in your own browser tab and is never sent over the network.

Every utility on Intoolhub — from the JSON Formatter to the Password Generator — is implemented entirely in client-side JavaScript (or WebAssembly where appropriate). This is a deliberate architectural decision that provides two benefits:

  • Speed — results appear instantly because there is no network round-trip to a server.
  • Privacy — your data physically never leaves your device.

When you paste a sensitive JWT, a private document, or confidential code into one of our tools, that content exists only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session. It is not logged, cached on a server, or accessible to Intoolhub or any third party.

You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's developer tools and inspecting network requests while using any tool — you will see no outbound data transmission related to tool inputs.

Cookies & Local Storage

Intoolhub uses a minimal number of browser storage mechanisms. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies of any kind.

Strictly necessary cookies

NamePurposeExpires
themeStores your preferred colour scheme (light / dark / system) so the correct theme loads on your next visit.Persistent

Local Storage

Some tools may save your last-used settings (such as selected units or output format preferences) to your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

How to manage cookies

You can view, modify, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Disabling the theme cookie will cause the site to revert to your system's default colour scheme on each visit — all tools will continue to function normally.

Analytics

We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics platform, to understand how visitors interact with Intoolhub. Umami was chosen specifically because it:

  • Does not use cookies or set any tracking identifiers
  • Does not collect personally identifiable information
  • Does not track users across websites
  • Stores only aggregated, anonymised data (page views, referrers, country-level location)
  • Is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a consent banner

The data we receive from Umami tells us things like “the JSON Formatter was viewed 500 times this week” — never “a specific person visited the JSON Formatter.”

Because Umami does not use cookies or fingerprinting, it is classified as a privacy-preserving service and does not require your consent under EU/UK cookie law.

Third-Party Services

Intoolhub uses a small number of trusted third-party services to deliver the website. None of these services receive the data you enter into tools.

ServicePurposeData Shared
Vercel / CDN hostHosting and content deliveryRequest metadata (IP, browser, page)
Umami AnalyticsAnonymised page-view statisticsAnonymised visit data — no PII
Google FontsTypography (Space Grotesk typeface)IP address when font files are fetched

We do not use advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party services whose primary purpose is user profiling or behavioural targeting.

Data Security

Because Intoolhub does not transmit or store tool input data, the primary security risk of a data breach — leakage of user-entered content — does not apply to this platform. Nevertheless, we take the following measures to keep the site and its visitors safe:

  • All traffic is served over HTTPS with TLS 1.2+ encryption
  • Content Security Policy (CSP) headers restrict which scripts and resources can execute
  • Dependencies are regularly audited for known vulnerabilities
  • No user credentials, payment information, or sensitive personal data are stored anywhere in our infrastructure

If you discover a security vulnerability in Intoolhub, please report it responsibly by emailing privacy@intoolhub.com. We take all reports seriously and aim to respond within 48 hours.

Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data under laws such as the GDPR (European Union), UK GDPR, CCPA (California), or similar regulations.

Rights that apply to Intoolhub users

  • Right to access — you may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to erasure — you may request deletion of any personal data we hold.
  • Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to object — you may object to certain types of data processing.
  • Right to data portability — you may request your data in a portable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw at any time.
In practice, because Intoolhub does not store personally identifiable information linked to individual users, most of the above rights can be satisfied simply by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage. However, you are always welcome to contact us and we will assist with any request.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@intoolhub.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Supervisory authority

If you are located in the EU or UK and believe we are processing your personal data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (DPA).

Children's Privacy

Intoolhub is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@intoolhub.com and we will promptly delete such information.
